Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
Flip the chicken thighs over, then pour the honey garlic sauce over them, ensuring the thighs are well coated.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the sauce is bubbly and thickened.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the top before serving.
