Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ cup blueberry or strawberry preserves (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it into the bottom of the greased baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a crust.

In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until creamy and smooth.

Gradually add granulated sugar, and continue mixing until well combined.

Add vanilla extract, eggs (one at a time), sour cream, and lemon juice to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.

Pour the cream cheese custard evenly over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and cut it into strips. Arrange the strips in a crisscross pattern over the cream cheese layer to form a top crust.

Optional: Drop spoonfuls of blueberry or strawberry preserves on top of the crescent roll strips for added flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cream cheese filling is set.

Allow the casserole to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
